Le Bijou

This traditional village house has been converted into a comfortable holiday home and is located in the heart of the village of Tuchan, which has a good slection of local shops, a bakery and restaurants, and reputedly the area’s best Fitou and Corbières wine at the Mont Tauch cave.

Tuchan lies in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the Languedoc-Roussillon region making it a paradise for walkers. The surrounding area is rich in history, the prehistoric remains at Tautavel, the medieval walled city of Carcassonne and many of the Cathar castles are close by.  The sandy beach resorts of the Mediterranean can be reached in under an hour, as can the city of Perpignan and the Spanish border. River swimming and two outdoor pools are nearby.  Some stunning scenery with natural pools and waterfalls can be reached within a short drive.
